CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 CAMPAIGN REVIEW

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2
Training Ground.

The sixth installment of the Call of Duty series and the immediate sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, continuing the plot, is Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2. The campaign of the game follows Task Force 141 (a unit of special forces led by Captain Soap MacTavish tracking down Vladimir Makarov, leader of the Russian Ultranationalist Party), and the U.S. Army Rangers protecting the country from a Russian invasion. Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson, of the 141, and Private James Ramirez of the Army Rangers, with Captain MacTavish being playable later in the campaign, are the main playable characters in the game.

GAMEPLAY

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's gameplay revolves around fast-paced gunfights against enemy fighters. Blood will splatter their heads-up display (HUD) when the player is fired by an opponent, denoting that they have taken damage; if the player stops gunfire by taking cover, their health will recover. The HUD also shows other details, such as a compass, a mini-map, and the current ammunition count of the player. Traditional weapons, including assault rifles, shotguns, handguns, and sniper rifles, appear in the game. Some weapons, such as suppressors and heartbeat sensors, have attachments. The player will be given special equipment at certain stages, such as night-vision goggles, or a laser designator.

The player completes eighteen levels connected by an overarching plot in Campaign mode. Each level has several goals to achieve, and the player can sometimes switch characters between levels. If the player dies during a level, at the most recent checkpoint, they will respawn. On one of the four difficulties, levels can be played, and each level can be replayed after it has been completed. Spec Ops mode features twenty-three extra levels that can be played with a partner individually or cooperatively. These levels present unique challenges, such as defusing in a short period of time three bombs. If the other player does not revive them, then they will die and the level will fail. Spec Ops levels have five levels. From the start, only the first tier is available, as later levels with enough stars can be unlocked. By completing the levels on one of three problems, the player earns stars, with the number of stars, won corresponding to the chosen difficulty.

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2

At the same time, the campaign has its problems. It's short for the beginning. I have played Duty 4 continuously since its release, and I have had a daily difficulty at just less than five hours since the first completion of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign. Hard-playing adds a further hour and a half to that. Modern Warfare 2, this time – partly because of the new visual effects and increased production values – is certainly more chaotic and you are going to battle for any control point with the enemy AI strengthened and hard-core scenario design. The blood splatter device is one of the main visual improvements to the heads-up display this time around. The screen will start shading red and you will need to look for cover for your vision before you get back to normal in previous calls of service. Modern Warfare 2 uses a new system that actually improves the realism of a thicker blood layer. There's been some controversy about whether the splatter is too distractive, and it's far from a concern in my experience with the game. You can take more hits at easier changes, and although a few shots that are well-aimed push players into hardened or veteran modes, the inclusion of the splatter is an appropriate compromise for general health.

Fortunately, a lot of problems from the last game were solved. There is always a waypoint icon on the screen to show you where to go or to proceed and the chatter in your team is very surprising. You're not going to find limitless enemy creatures in the areas. You'll really see two rivals behind a yellow station wagon as your buddy yells, "Two tangos behind the yellow station wagon!" This is a really attractive experience. You will continue to have random problems with friendly AI, particularly when you block your motion or when you decide not to go in front of you in the middle of the fight.

STORYLINE

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2

In the campaign, from a first-person viewpoint, the player controls five different characters. Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson, a British member of an international special forces unit called Task Force 141, is primarily operated by the player. The player will also take charge of Private First Class Joseph Allen and Private James Ramirez of the 75th Ranger Regiment of the US Army, in addition to Roach. As a senior member of Task Force 141, Captain John "Soap" MacTavish now acts as the superior officer of Roach and becomes the playable character in the game's final three missions. Finally, at the height of the war between the United States and Russia, the player briefly assumes the role of an astronaut stationed on the International Space Station.

The non-playable characters (NPCs) of the game feature prominently in the story: Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, who conceals his face with a skull print balaclava, serves as the second in command of Soap for Task Force 141. For the United States Army Rangers, Sergeant Foley is initially the squad leader of Joseph Allen, along with his subordinate, Corporal Dunn, and later becomes the squad leader of James Ramirez in the novel. The commander of the United States Army Rangers and Task Force 141 is Lieutenant General Shepherd. Captain John Price, MacTavish's former commanding officer in the British Special Air Service who was imprisoned in Russia,, and Russian informant turned mercenary pilot 'Nikolai' are other supporting characters returning from Call of Duty 4.

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2

The campaign mode is intensive, as the anchor of Call of Duty. The enhanced computer is immediately visible when you're on the busy street in the favela of Rio de Janeiro, the ice-capped mountains of Kazakhstan, Afghanistan's dusty roads, and other unexpected locations. On the visual side, modern warfare 2, the overall sense of action and confusion that comes with so many visual changes, is a simple move in the face of the Call of Duty 4 and the world at the battle, with a heavy focus on dynamic fields in the climate, weather effects, destructible objects. This is complemented only by an increased emphasis on sound design that re-records the effects of several weapons returned, an even higher degree of debate among your allies, and a very exciting score by Hans Zimmer centered on unique moments at play. Modern Warfare 2 looks like an exciting action movie.

Despite the U.S.'s efforts By preventing a nuclear war, the Ultranationalists seize control of the Russian Federation, making Imran Zakhaev a martyr and straining diplomatic relations with the United States, Marine Corps, and British Special Air Service. Vladimir Makarov, Zakhaev's right-hand man, and ultra-nationalist militant began a campaign of vengeance against the West over the course of five years by committing terrorist attacks on European and foreign soil.

Juggernaut is real Pain in the Arse.

Part of the U.S. in 2016 Private First Class Joseph Allen, 75th Army Ranger Regiment, is interested in taking back a city from insurgents in Afghanistan. General Shepherd, fascinated by the skills of Allen, hires him to Task Force 141, an elite unit that recruits from around the world the best special forces operators. "While Allen is training for an upcoming mission, Captain John "Soap" MacTavish and Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson are infiltrating a Russian airbase in the Tian Shan mountains to retrieve from a downed American satellite an Attack Characterization System (ACS) module.

Soon, Allen is sent on an undercover CIA mission to join Vladimir Makarov in a mass shooting at an airport in Moscow, Russia. Aware of the true identity of Allen, Makarov kills him as they flee and leaves his body behind to spark a war between Russia and the United States.

"...and remember, No Russians!"

This is one of the most famous missions in Call Of Duty History. When I played this mission for the first time I didn't kill any civilian because I didn't want to. But then this mission was a great way to vent out my anger. HaHa!

Outraged by an alleged terrorist attack supported by the Americans, Russia retaliates by launching a surprise invasion of the United States' East Coast.

The fights around Washington D.C. Private James Ramirez and his Ranger team, who are charged with hiring a government official until they fall into the hands of the Russians, are extremely fierce. The squad is re-tasked from escorting civilians to safety to collecting confidential intel from the suburban home of a high-value person after extracting the official. They find the person dead, but they manage to obtain the intel.

Task force 141 is sent to Rio de Janeiro to apprehend his weapons dealer Alejandro Roja without any proof of his involvement in the airport massacre. You excel and learn that in a rustic gulag is Makarov's nemesis. They attack the gulag and rescue the inmate: Captain Price, Soap's former SAS commander.

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2

Price takes over the task force 141 and, despite Shepard's instructions for Makarov, demands that the United States' war with Russia be terminated. Price launches a ballistic missile after raiding a Russian port in the direction of Washington, D.C. And in the upper atmosphere, it detonates. The EMP explosion that results deactivates all Eastern Sea electronic equipment, giving the Americans much-needed advice. Ramirez's squad is narrowly unable to bomb the United States Air Force's occupied Russian strategic structure, lit green flaring up the White House to demonstrate that the town has stayed in America's hands.

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2
R.I.P. Ghost. You will be forever in our hearts.

SAD MOMENT: Meanwhile, Makarov's hiding place is being narrowed down by Task Force 141 in two places: a boneyard in Afghanistan and the safe-house in Makarov on the Georgian-Russian border. Shepherd and his own private military force successfully raid Roach and Simon Ghost in a safe-house and then are betrayed and killed by Shepherd. Why Shepherd why? Ghost was my favourite character. This was the moment where every gamer cried. If you didn't cry then you are not a real gamer. Shepherd is soon the trigger for the Russian-American war, intended to consolidate his role as a national hero and to extend the military action in vengeance for the guys he lost five years before in the Khaled Al-Asad camp.

Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2
Shepherd the Traitor.

Price and Soap hear about the betrayal of Shepherd and only escape a fight in a boneyard between his and Makarov. Price and Soap raided the base to take revenge on Shepherd in a suicide mission after learning from Makarov of Shepherd's mountain base in Afghanistan. The duo pursued Shepherd as he fled by boat, and Price was willing, while he and Soap were tumbling over a waterfall, to film his helicopter extraction. A dazzled soap stumbles into the crash site to kill Shepherd and is stuck in his chest. Soap takes the cup out of his chest and throws it at Shepherd, killing him. While Price comes in and engages Shepherd in a big fight. Nikolai arrives and Price allows medical treatment to evacuate soap.

At the end of the game, a museum will be unlocked in which different epic moments, individuals, guns, etc are on display. All the pictures I have inserted in this article are taken at the museum.

OVERALL REVIEW:

This is an environment in which Modern Warfare 2 may have been able to use more polished time or a more particular direction. Events move through, the story is told only through the load screens or the NPC chat, and the story is overwhelmingly enormous so that you sometimes feel like you've had fun during your mission and then try to figure out what you've just done in the sense of the story. Although this can prove a challenge for certain, I have been able to pick up the plot, enjoy the characters, follow the turns, and care for the story. Sometimes you expect to know the actors, extrapolate to a conversation or a short scene and then get the story out of it. The end result is the feeling of an '80s action film with giant drawing troughs, which is full of epic, but never a faithful and coherent series of events.

A lot of gamers would be shocked by SpecOps mode. It is amazingly addictive and entertaining. The longer average duration is than single players. This is an incredible improvement in the first modern warfare from the previously unlockable Arcade mode, and certain missions will have players who are having 69 stars back and forth.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the best shooters for the first person and a truly outstanding deal in every device when you look at the whole kit. However, Modern Warfare 2 is shockingly short for the purely individual player crowd and does not follow the expectations of the previous Call of Duty games. The campaign can be finished in just four and a half hours and the missions make better scenarios and adrenaline rushes moment by moment than a coherent and well-known narrative. You've been formally warned if you're going solo.
