CALL OF DUTY- WW2 CAMPAIGN REVIEW

Call Of Duty WW2

Call Of Duty: WW2 is a first-person videogame shooter from 2017 developed and released by Activision in Sledgehammer Games. The Microsoft Windows 4 and Xbox One was released worldwide on 3 November 2017.

The game is organized in the European theater and is concentrated around one of the 1st Infantry Division squads after their combat on the West Front and emphasis on Operation Overlord's historic events. The player controls "Red" Daniels, who is fitted with squadmates who can supply the player with extra munitions, health, or grenade as well as a targeted grenade and target spotting.

Following its previous title, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (2014), which featured advanced movements and futuristic warfare technology, the Sledgehammer Games wanted to return the series to World War II. In order to bring an authentic war story, they decided to include massacres and Nazi death camps evident during this period in the campaign mode.

GAMEPLAY

Call of Service: WWII is a shooter first hand. It does not oppose the advanced movement system in the two previous titles of a Call of Duty, including the dual jumping and wall service, similar to its recent predecessors. It is instead a return of traditional movement to the series which brings it back to the original gameplay style "boots on the ground" The game has an infinite mechanical sprint. Instead of a mechanic for slide movement, WWII provides a mechanical "hit-the-deck," allowing the player to hop ahead and throw himself on the floor to cover quickly the so-called "dolphin dive."

The campaign does not include WWII wellbeing reconstruction. Players must instead search out health packs spread through levels or rely on their medical teammates to supply health packs. Other members of the players' squad can supply munitions, grenades, hit the mortar or spot enemies, and expose their position as silhouettes. Enemy soldiers may be captured, injured allies may be dragged to cover, in some parts of the game. Players can manage vehicles in certain parts of the campaign.

However, they use all the same resources and at the time I finished the campaign, the M1A1 Carbine was my best friend. In the often medium to large firefighting areas, even without fancy views or scopes, the rifles were best felt. Generally speaking, though, WW2 weapons are powerful and well worn - the game doesn't re-write history, so it's almost all the weapons that we have seen in hundreds of other games set in this timeframe previously. The only weapon that I was hurrying to drop is the predetermined gun, particularly when I found a rare gun that had a grenade launcher or firearm shell attachable. That's great.

STORYLINE

Call Of Duty WW2

WW2 is a successful campaign for Call Of Duty. The call of duty: WW2, however, is riddled with contradictions and minor faults that make it a major feature of the series. It's still a solid duty call game, and I've enjoyed the many hours that I've spent there already.

The campaign that follows Daniels in Private "Red" at key events such as "D-Day" and the release of Paris is a fine first for the coming events. It reveals how well Call of Duty's fight adapts for the first time since the World at War in 2008 to a historical setting and, more importantly, it tells a fine story and a fun action film show.

Call Of Duty WW2

June 6, 1944, United States. Ronald Rojo Daniels, 1st Infantry Division of the Private First Class, participated in the Normandy Landing Day (D-Day). He was made up of Roberta Zussman, Private Drew Stiles, Fifth Grade Technician, Frank Aiello, William Pierson of Tech, and Joseph Turner, First Lieutenant. After the landings, Zussman is stabbed by a German soldier, which would result in several weeks of hospitalization.

I was glad to see that Daniels isn't the only star in the campaign when I played. While he's a professional warrior, he's not cut to spy, fly a tank or fighter's plane. Instead, the WW2 set Daniels aside and revamped him even though I played in other fascinating missions as characters that I won't ruin in nature. Their separate duties were a welcome change to the clearing and artillery destruction period of Daniels.

In time, Zussman is back in the duty of the American Operation Cobra which was successfully pushed by American forces to recover the city of Marigny. Colonel Davis is ordering the peloton to carry out an operation with Major Artur Crowley and Vivian Harris, British Special Operations Executive Officers, to intercept a German V2-rocket armored train. Camille "Rousseau" Denis, French resistance leader, escorted Daniels and Zussman to successfully derail the train.

A week later, in preparation for the attack by the platoon, Rousseau and Crowley entered a German garrison in Pari to recover explosives. Rousseau succeeded in placing explosives at the doors of the prison and in retaliating for his assassination of his family, killing SS- and police chief Heinrich, which allowed the pilot to free Paris.

Two months later, the tank reached Aachen and was rescued by the tank commander Staff Sergeant Augustine Pérez from the German assault. A German-occupied hotel is forced to take over. They discover civilians inside the hotel cellar and Turner commands to Pierson's dismay their evacuation. Anna is missing a little girl named Anna, and Daniels saves her. On a truck carrying civilians, German soldiers open fire, kill Anna's eldest sister. Unprotected, Pierson sent the truck away and produced a rift with Turner.

The platoon is ordered to take Hill 493 during the Battle of Hürtgen Forest. Turner divides the peloton into two groups; both Pierson, Zussman, and Turner cover the peloton until they converge at the bottom. The peloton is split into two groups. Turner's squad is soon informed that Pierson ordered Turner to assault the hill on his command and to compel Turner to participate. The peloton destroyed the artillery, but the Germans attacked a tank of Tiger II. Daniels is knocked out and attempted to disable the Pérez tank. Turner is fatally wounded to save Daniels and commands Daniels to leave him as he decks the escape of the platoon. Pierson became the chief of the platoon after Turner was put to death and made Daniels his second leader, which inspired him to become the Corporal.

D-DAY

The platoon is surrounded by Germans at the height of the Battle of the Bulge. Daniels will meet with Howard (Russell Richardson), an African American technician who helps the platoon touch air support. This squadron captured a number of German soldiers and discovered that the Germans were preparing to destroy the Remagen bridge. Pierson directs the platoon to assault a nearby airbase to destroy the remaining explosives, after destroying explosives in transit. The assault fails and the enemy soldiers surround Daniels and Zussman. Howard saves Daniels as he is being taken to a German War Camp inmate, Stalag IX-B. Daniels is disobeying the German Zussman truck, but he ends up hurting himself and letting the trunk escape. Daniels disobedient him. Hospitalized, Pierson declined to remove him from the peloton. In Stalag IX-B, Zussman was questioned on his Jewish origins and beaten and sent to a concentration camp by SS officer Metz.

Having recovered for eight weeks, Daniels learns from Davis about what changed Pierson in the Battle of Kasserine Pass: he disobeyed orders to go back and ignite part of a platoon that was stuck and loses even more in the process, not leading his men to their death without recklessness, as everyone thought. Later in his tent, Daniels challenges Pierson and tears his honorable discharge papers as Pierson accuses him of having no understanding of sacrifice. The last bridge across the Rhine is successfully seized. The platoon goes to Germany, liberates concentration camps for Zussman, finally arrives at the Berga concentration camp, where the survivors of the camp have been sent to the death march. The camps have been abandoned. By killing Metz before he can execute him, Daniels found and saves Zussman.

When the war ends, Daniels splits his platoon and comes back to Texas to meet his wife and his newborn son. He visits the tomb of his elder brother, Paul, who died of wounds that Daniels could not fire after he battled a wolf. His Bronze Star medal is set in the grave and his brother deserves this because he's taught him how to fight for himself and his brothers.

VERDICT

The stealth tasks are also very challenging. Although uncommon and typically not necessary, I always went badly wrong the times I had to hang myself around and hit a knife in my enemy's throat. I would delete the few men who had their backing to me; but when I hit the melee button, I wanted, instantly, to kill someone who wasn't 180 grades away from me. Instant kill is not assured, so alarms go off. And since this isn't a stealthy game actually, an opponent can't be drawn or distracted by sound.

Call Of Duty WW2

The overall graphic is amazing and I didn't face any glitches or bugs while playing the game. The game feels like a long movie and you control the protagonist. However, there is not much to play in campaign mode. There a lot of cinematics that sometimes cannot be skipped. If you like playing games based on World War then you are going to enjoy this game very much.
