THIS GAME PREDICTED CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK?
Today the world is suffering from the CORONA virus and there is a total lockdown to stop the
spread of virus until the scientists find a cure. This game – THE DIVISION is a
game about a virus outbreak that went horribly wrong. I highly recommend you to
play this game at this point in time.

This game is
developed by MASSIVE ENTERTAINMENT and was published in 2016 by UBISOFT.
STORY –
After the BLACK FRIDAY (Thanksgiving Day in the United
States) in 2015, people started feeling sick due to an unknown sickness. The SYMPTOMS
were at first mildly severe so that the doctors and the hospital workers took
as a more serious version of the SWINE FLU. When people started dying around
the United States, scientists started studying the virus. They realized
that it was just SMALLPOX. Therefore,
they distributed the smallpox vaccine and thought that everyone will get well,
but the results were just the opposite.
In NEW YORK CITY the authority to maintain order and solve
the epidemic was given to NYPD (NEW YORK POLICE DEPARTMENT) and the local hospitals
in the area respectively. The order was not maintained and the people were panicking
as a huge number of people were getting infected. To counter this the GOVERNOR OF
NEW YORK ordered to bring in the NATIONAL GUARD, ARMY and MARINES.
Their solution was simple: - QUARANTINE all infected
individuals in the city and keep them away from the healthy people of the city.
Due to the emergency, the NATIONAL GUARD and the NYPD became a single body and from
then on, they were known as the JOINT TASK FORCE, or JTF. Other authorities who
were helping people such as FIREFIGHTERS, GUARDS and PARAMEDICS were also joined
in the JTF. The LAST MAN BATTALION, or LMB, a PMC were hired to protect the
interests of NYC and assist JTF in the process of QUARANTINE of the SICK PEOPLE.
They often used brutal methods to punish people. A SOLDIER killed a citizen
who defecated in the river.
Afterward, the situation became so bad that the JTF was
unable to handle it. The people working in the JTF got infected and started dying,
a lot of them. Therefore, the manpower of JTF was decreasing very fast. The JTF
and LMB started distributing territories to handle the situation, the LMB
taking most of the eastern parts of the city. Adding to the problem, the
prisoners escaped from RIKERS ISLAND, killed the few guards remaining, and took
all their equipment. Now they started controlling the southern part of the city.
The people who worked to keep the city from being infected lost their loved
ones by bringing the virus with them home. They were abandoned in the NORTH
EASTERN part of the city by the JTF. They started burning everything to
eliminate the VIRUS.
With all that happening, the JTF was forced to leave the
QUARANTINE ZONE. THE DIVISION AGENTS (WE) assisted the JTF in keeping order. Now
there was a SCHISM between the GOVERNMENT and the FIRST WAVE OF DIVISION. THE
DIVISION OPERATIVES abandoned their mission as GOVERNMENT AGENTS and started
working on taking control of the decaying of the city from JTF and anyone else.
The JTF abandoned the place and left a lot of valuable
equipment at the place. The JTF were now
outnumbered and were at the mercy of the escaped prisoners who called
themselves the RIKERS, the sanitation workers with flame throwers whom the JTF
abandoned in the NORTHEASTERN part of the city and the LMB. Eventually, the JTF
were pushed back to the port in the SOUTHWESTERN part of the city. The rest of
the city was controlled by the RIOTERS and GANGS that had taken advantage of
the EPIDEMIC.

This game shows how the virus outbreak went out of control
after the scientist found out the cure. The scientists have not found any antidote
for CORONA VIRUS yet, GOD knows what will happen after they will find a cure.
Maybe this game will end up being 100% true.
Even though the game is based on a virus outbreak, the main
danger in the game is from bad people. I say in every virus outbreak,
alien invasion, natural disasters, etc, the main danger will be from the
bad people, not the respective epidemic. There is a sequel of this game released
on March 15, 2019. I am looking forward to writing an article on that one too. So
